Public Statement from the Part of the General Editor and the Editorial Board of SCS Journal

Dear representatives of international academic community!

The editorial board of SCS Journal pays respects and expresses heartfelt and sincere condolences on the killed in Ukraine and appeals to the representatives of international academic community, the representatives of science and education of the universities and professional associations to express their attitude towards the events occurring in the Ukrainian society, to deplore violence, appeals for separatism and other acts that lead to violation of territorial integrity of the country and to stave off danger of the resolution of the conflict situation in Ukraine through the use of force by all possible means.

Today the Ukrainians more than ever need any kind of support. Deliberate decisions, reasonableness and tolerance that were always inherent to the scientific community must be consolidated and aimed at staving off conflict escalation, outbreak of hostilities and bloodshed in Ukraine.

We are not isolated; we work together in mutual effort in spite of religious diversity, different languages and traditions, but we respect each other as we work in collaboration, we are not only colleagues, we are friends that are always ready to help each other.

Here and now, public support and hard-line attitude are important against violence and military entrance to the territory of Ukraine! These days no one can remain uninvolved!

Studies of Changing Societies: Comparative and Interdisciplinary Focus

Studies of Changing Societies (SCS Journal) is the interdisciplinary collection of scholarly articles in various fields of social sciences including area that cut across different sub-fields.

SCS Journal founded in 2011.

Its purpose is to bridge diverse communities of social scientists, working on different problems and disciplines and in different parts of the world. It provides information and debate on subjects of interest to an international readership, written by an equally international range of authors.

SCS Journal a particular interest in policy-relevant questions and interdisciplinary approaches. It serves as a forum for review, reflection and discussion informed by the results of relevant research, rather than as an outlet of “first publication” for the results of individual research projects.

The journal aims to represent international experience by including authors from countries all over the world. Another important objective is improving the international exposure of scholars from the post-Soviet countries.

Since August 2013 SCS Journal  to be published by Versita. versita
